uplay crashes after login

the game didin't even had a chance to start
i think uplay is the problem, not the game
i got it from a cd

i finished installing again and i still get the same error

Uplay's most likely the problem. I remember trying to install something a while back and the install was corrupted twice in a row because their servers were flickering.

edit: i tried to play offline but it forces me to go online
