Author Topic: How do you deal with a situation like mine? -serious thread-  (Read 1843 times)

Yes.

As a good friend I wouldn't be sending faux-Self Delete notes to people I care about. And I wouldn't expect any of my friends to do the same.
just because theyre sending fake Self Delete messages doesnt mean you shouldnt worry about anything they ever might do

in real life my brother tried to commit Self Delete a few times
i didn't really give a stuff, but then again he is a friend and not a friend i know over the internet so none of this really applies to anything here

I never said you shouldn't ever worry about them.
I said you shouldn't get so hung up on them. There are people out there who make exceptionally needy friends, and being friends with them is alright, but if they're stressing you out with it all (which is likely if they play the boy who cried wolf) then it's fine to ignore them for a bit.

It's not like in this situation you're even of use to that person. They're sending you stuff like that knowing full well you can do forget all to help them. That's just insensitive and greedy.

holy stuff what did your brother do to you, carve a swastika on your forehead or somethin

i've never understood how you "try" and commit Self Delete

as thomas edison once said
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."

In my opinion it's a worse action to be delivering so much drama to your friends in the first place.

And being a good friend isn't a priority all the time anyway. Take care of yourself first, you should be number 1.
A friend who makes themselves your number 1 isn't being a good friend.

that sounds like something my ex-friend would say

Someone I was in Sunday school with (literally the only other person in there at the time) shot and killed himself a couple years ago. Ripped his family to pieces and caused so much emotional destruction around the church. He was very well off for someone his age too. I remember he was just 19 years old, had a house, his own mowing business, and drove a restored Nova. I really didn't do a lot with him except once I went to Forest Park with him, my dad, and my dad's friend to goof around on skateboards.

Yet so many people still claim that Self Delete should be permitted if your life is "rotten" enough.

stick it in her pooper :^)
