Blockland: Abandoned or Big Update?

Idk how many of these topics there are because i didn't bother searching for them, but seeing how long it's been since Blockland has been updated, I'm curious, because last time the game was in v20 until the loong awaited v21, i havn't seen any indication of a big update, so... anyone have any insight? I mean i don't see why badspot would just suddenly abandon his best selling game, but at the same time i wouldn't blame him, seeing how long he's been at it.

All you want is a constant stream of loving updates. FYI the game isn't broken, and is basically complete; i.e. this is the final product, not some constantly evolving MMO.

Whis is this so hard to understand? Have you wasted so much time on the game that you refuse to believe it is finished it's development cycle, and that all the time you poured into it is now worthless?

Sometimes I wonder if other developers have this problem of the community turning into a little "family" of users. Will members of the StarMade community whine like this when updates aren't coming out, or just silently leave and find another game? I wonder if they forcefully create a nostalgic atmosphere like OP here. This entire forum feels like some sort of loving social experiment.

Badspot should of kept communication with the community to an absolute minimum, and his posts void of any personal opinion, as now he has a constant stream of friends like heed and kalph harassing him at every opportunity regarding the game, as if they are part of some sort of loving family.

The community has the wrong mindset regarding the game. The entire forum should consist of Help and mod discussion topics, that's it.

If he's done developing Blockland, and no longer willing to update it - then I'm not sure why he tried so hard to get onto Steam. Games on Steam are usually worked on constantly. I hope he isn't done developing the game, it's my favorite video game and I enjoy it the most.

Shaders are now automatically enabled for supported video cards
Removed "-1" chat spam event from lighthouse speedkart map
Added flood protection to /activateStuff
Added -serverName and -maxPlayers command line arguments

Were the finishing touches that made blockland absolutely perfect? Nope, Blockland is one of the many many games that is never completed, because no matter how good the damn game is, it can always be polished more, it can always be improved, i can think of 5 improvements right now that can make blockland better. And i would know all his being a developer my self, The game was "complete" when it left Beta and became retail.

It is as complete as it needs to be. According to this logic, every single computer program in existance is incomplete and is the development phase, because virtually all of them will have a bug or an inherent drawback somewhere.

That's not what i said, i simply asked if anyone knows if badspot is going to continue updating the game or if he is concentrating on something else now. Or if i missed some message from him saying he's not updating the game for a while. No more no less, now, I will no longer entertain your or any other's rude comments here on out. If I had to guess, I would think that Badspot might be working on an update.  I doubt he is working on it constantly, but more of just when ever he feels like it.  Maybe he is not working on something at all, he might do something big in the future or maybe not.
