You don't need to, add-ons are zipped only for uploading to file sharing websites

bad idea, it's not in add-on format it's just a bunch of add-ons in a zip, and not all of them work

Some of them yea. I could be very wrong on this, but mostly look for
Description.txt
Namecheck.txt
Server.cs

Those should be the main required parts of a add-on
