why doesn't skype work for me

every time i start it i get signed out immediately, i want to talk to somebody. i have tried reinstalling, restarting, and updating to the latest version, but nothing is helping. can someone help me?

As much as I hate to say it, skype's forgeted. It has so many problems its unbearable now. Ventrillo is a nice option to resort to. And if that won't work, try oovoo.
