Author Topic: Final decision - should I buy this PC build?  (Read 1968 times)

I think the one he made is slightly nicer. But I would keep the same motherboard from your build in the OP, the downgrade isn't needed.
Thanks for the feedback, so would this be a good rig for video editing, rendering, music production,  and occasional gaming?

To be honest, you could build a much better future-proofed rig with about $200 more. The build you're looking at is well balanced, but would need to pretty much be fully replaced for any significant upgrades. If you started out with more investment in a powerful CPU and reliable motherboard, you could look into upgrading the graphics later on when you had more money. The end result from that would be a much nicer build.

Go for the build you picked first; it has a higher quality PSU and motherboard. I also think the Enermax case Champion chose is horrendous, although that's down to personal taste.

Might want to get a disk drive. Although i haven't used mine in a long time, its still a good idea.
