Author Topic: A bunch of dots are on my screen  (Read 682 times)

I started my computer today to find a bunch of dots on the screen.

(The dots in the picture are a bit unclear)
I checked to make sure the video card connection was secure, the optical disk because it was making wierd whirring noises, and the hard drive cables. When I normally start the computer I don't see a login screen, rather a blank black screen.

Its probably your monitor
I have it often too. I just shut it down and start it back up and it was fixed.

Take a screenshot. Post it here. If the image doesn't come up with dots for us, that means it's your monitor. If it does then your video card is the problem.

If it isn't, then it's A.
And if it isn't, then it's B.

A bunch of dots are my screen

The cable from your GPU to your monitor might be loose. I noticed that with my monitor when I had the same problem. Try unplugging and plugging back in.

your screen has herpes cold sores, bring it to a doctor.

Try it with another input, or swap the graphics card. If it's still there, get a new monitor
