doesnt it feel a little weird maybe that a company is taking advantage of the beauty of giving and using it to subtly promote their business?

Heartwarming, yes.
But kind of a weird aspiration.

The kid looks like a kid out of a animated Disney movie.
Is he real?

ups is trying to make up their stuffty service by using sob stories.

How is that a weird aspiration for a  little kid? Lots of kids that age are interested in trucks in general and the UPS driver has talked to him and been nice to him. So he likes trucks and looks up to a UPS driver, 2 and 2 together and he wants to be a UPS driver.

But as for it being a stuff job, they're part of the teamsters so it's probably one of the best jobs you'll get as a driver.

He is basically a single man buzzfeed. I'm sure he'd workout pretty good there.

it's called setting realistic expectations
