i'm pretty sure it could still potentially support life of some sort. life would just propagate differently to account for different conditions. for one, we probs wouldn't see creatures being nearly as tall since it'd be harder to grow tall. support structures would have to be sturdy enough to handle the gravity load. of course, it's going to be difficult for a solid planet to form that largely anyway. planets like jupiter get their big boy passes cus they're gas giants they don't gotta worry about our rock problems...
