Author Topic: Blockland shaders problem  (Read 2447 times)

Hi, seams I have yet another problem with blockland. This time it is with the shaders. Minimum shader quality works fine. Low, medium, high, very high, and max are all broken. I have a link to a photo here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0r6gwpitxs5h7op/Blockland_00001.png and when seeing whats happening from the `/~ key panel it checks for shadow support sadly I cant get a pic of it for some odd reason so I will just have to copy it word from word so here it goes:

Checking for shader shadow support:
- Enabled via $Shader: :Enabled? YES
- ARB_shader_objects?                YES
- ARB_shading_language_100?     YES
- EXT_texture_array?                   YES
- EXT_texture3D?                        NO
- glTexImage3D?                         YES
- EXT_framebuffer_object?           YES
- ARB_shadow?                           YES
- OpenGL Version?                       2.1 ATI-8.24.16
- GLSL Language Version?            1.20
o Shaders are                              ACTIVE

So if anyone can help me please comment

Thank You

Whats your processor, graphics card / integrated graphics, and what version of OpenGL do you have?

I’m sort of a noob at finding the processor. graphics card, ect. So how do I find it. PS: I have mac FYI.

If you're using OSX Maverick (I'm not so I'll have to guess, I use Yosemite), then you do this.
Open System Profiler by choosing About this Mac from the Apple () menu. Then, click More Info.
Select "Graphics/Displays" in the Hardware section. Two entries should appear under Video Card: "Intel HD Graphics 4000" and "Nvidia GeForce GT 650M.
Click Intel HD Graphics 4000.
Read the detail view under Displays.
If the detail says Color LCD and Display Connector, you are in Intel HD Graphics 4000 mode.
If the detail says only "Display Connector:  Status: No Display Connected," you are in Nvidia GeForce GT 650M mode.
Click Nvidia GeForce GT 650M.
Read the detail view under Displays.
If the detail says Color LCD and Display Connector, you are using in Nvidia GeForce GT 650M Graphics mode.
If the detail says only "Display Connector:  Status: No Display Connected," you are in Intel HD Graphics 4000 mode.
To update the information in the window, refresh the System Profiler screen by pressing Command-R.

have a Yosemite BTW. and my graphics are an ATI Radeon HD 4670 and my Processor is a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Intel processors dont work with shaders :(.

Sorry m8

stuff sorry nevermind they do please dismiss my previous post

Shaders has about nothing to do with processor really, thats video-based. Intel Integrated Graphics do not render shaders properly; the processors work fine though.

Just save up and ask your parents if you can buy something for http://pcpartpicker.com

So whould I have to get a new graphics card?

don't macs not support shaders altogether?
