fullscreen error

hey guys... this is weird and it never happened to me before, i hit fullscreen the apply.. then it goes black and says "cannot display this video mode" ?? and i can hear the sounds it makes when you move over the options...

Its probably displaying in a resolution that your monitor doesn't support. In the resolution dropdown make sure it matches the numbers:

Right click on desktop>Properties>Settings>Screen Resolution

This will also happen if you have a crt monitor and select a refresh rate that is too high.
