Except Nintendo doesn't overprice their systems.

Yeah, until they release the non-XL version, I'm not getting the New 3DS.

Which will probably NEVER happen by the way.

The XL is just to start up the sales on the next generation 3DS systems. The original ones are still selling well, and after they reached their peak and drop in sales, the normal sized one will come out.  After all, manufacturing both decals and systems can be expensive and risky if nobody's going to buy them.

I don't even know why you'd want to use the 3ds while having it face 45 degrees away from you, can someone explain their logic apart from wanting the nsa to spy on us more?

when you're playing AR Games, for example, you're going to be moving the 3DS a lot to make sure it's looking at the AR card at all times, thus having it at all sorts of weird angles

also it prevents you from neck cramps from having your head at the same position for long periods of time as you try to stay in the 3d sweetspot
