Need some 3d printing file help

So as I am planing to get a 3d printer soon, one of the prints I want to do is the default blockland gun. But I am having some problems like the model not being waterproof and not split into 2 parts so if some one could fix that, it would be great as I don't know much about modeling. Also scaled to 50mm. And the .stl file is included below. If you do this you can have something from my steam inventory.

I do know how to model, just not perfectly, and I should find a good program. It's not like I'm getting the printer tomorrow.

3ds max, get it through their education community.

I have a class right now that's all about 3d printing, well designing stuff to 3d print. But if I bring in my own filament I can print whatever I want, we're also allowed to use the 3d scanners they have. I'm going to by some bronzefill and make a bust of my self.
