"Topic too old"

there needs to be a rule against bumping old topics.

People have been banned before for bumping old dramas with entirely useless posts for dead/resolved dramas, so this guy will be banned eventually if he doesn't stop.

last week i was looking up something on gamefaqs and i saw a thread from 2007 bumped in 2014 with nothing but some handicapped smiley face, entirely unrelated to the subject. if there wasn't a "topic too old" system, idiots would be bumping threads from the previous decade all the time.

It only gets annoying when trying to update progress on a project, and it people like the OP that reinforce not letting that limitation go.
