Quote
Net neutrality (also network neutrality, Internet neutrality, or net equality) is the principle that Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the Internet equally, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication.
So ISPs can't charge you differently based on what type of site/service you use your internet for, or throttle websites and force them to pay large amounts to have service restored

Nothing is going to change for you.  The internet has had net neutrality since before you've been alive.  The topic title is very misleading.

They did, however, pass some regulations that protect the net from big business, and it might even do you some good to do some loving research once in a while.

so i guess this is a thing?
cool i guess

The fee is only $5
And they say we need to have it with the new X11 boxes because soon they will be storing all of their DVR recordings on cloud instead and that modem is the only one that currently supports that

EDIT: they recently changed it to $10
This is 90 bucks and it is probably about the same thing they are going to give you.

Edit: I read up on it. Kinda dumb how they are basically making a DRM modem for their service.
