Headphones making a really weird buzzing sound

When ever I play a game my headphones will making this really annoying buzzing sound that can be either High pitched or low pitched depending on the volume, this sound is really really annoying and is starting to give me a headache. And when ever I press the Mute key my pc makes this weird 8-bit sound. Is there anyway to fix this?

I am not using a headset, I'm using headphones and I how do I find the quality of my headphones?

Yep, if I take the headphone's plug thingy out of my pc it will stop making the noise but if I plug it back in the noise will continue

I would try and plug my turtle beach headset that I use for my xbox 360 but the wires are a loving nightmare because for some reason there are 3 component cables, so I asked my brother if I could use his turtle beach headset because he never uses his anymore. But in the meantime I want to see if I can fix this and if the same annoying buzzing sound occurs on the turtle beach headset
