Roblox used to be good in the old days.....Of 2009 and back.
Fuel for the fire:The web backend of roblox is very impressive but the in-game experience is complete stuff. It boggles my mind how bad it is. Moving around is completely broken - it's jerky, there's no interpolation, you penetrate walls when you run into them, you penetrate the floor when you jump, there is no client side prediction of collision. Shooting is a complete joke - I have literally never seen a shooting mechanic that is worse. The camera goes through walls, gets stuck, jerks around. You can die mysteriously when walking down stairs or jumping into the ceiling. Every build is floating so you often are flung off of the world and fall forever. The character animation and gui look like what you would make in 5 minutes to debug something. With 1000 blocks loaded, i get ~50 fps on my super computer - in Blockland I get like 950+. The whole thing is like a student project that has gone out of control. Roblox only thrives because it aggressively markets to children who have never played a real game before and thus do not realize how broken everything is. Some of those children happen to be the rare combination of mentally ill and rich, so they pay the $300. Anyone who has played quake, tribes, battlefield*, TF2, HL2, or any real game on the pc simply cannot tolerate how bad roblox is. Roblox is a financially successful community site and I respect it for that, but it is simply not in the same league as Blockland in terms of gameplay.

Before you go and say "lelele whatever", please actually read the post. None of you will anyways, so why even bother? Oh well.I'm probably going to get banned for this. I don't care. Delete my post, whatever. I will publicize this everywhere, however, to show everyone how ROBLOX has become a game that it never was, one loathing in it's money, caring nothing about the community.So, as I stated in the title, I am officially done with this game, and, quite honestly, I don't see why this game still has a large community. The game has turned into a money-pot by the administrators, making every child a magnet for their parents' money. We did not need BC places. We did not need exclusive BC items, no. We didn't need any of those exclusive BC items. The game gets enough money off of it through solely the BC, TBC, and OBC payments. The quality of games has gone down a significant lot over the years the game has been running. People no longer care about using someone else's work in their builds. They don't care about how little effort they put into their games. The only thing they care about is the horrendous virtual money, ROBUX, along with some fame.People just drag free models into their place and call it their own, and, occasionally, make the title of the place completely irrelevant to what it contains. Another thing, the administration. The administration bans for things that aren't even listed in the rules. I am probably going to get banned for that now, for a little unwritten rule. And I know what I'm going to be banned for- "inappropriate things". Nothing I am posting here is inappropriate to the game. Just keep that in mind. I am simply speaking the truth about this game, the game I used to play for years. Now, because of the terrible community in which the admins don't care about, I am quitting it permanently. I already have, in a way, but had thoughts about rejoining the game. After seeing how bad the community has been driven, I've decided to drop all of that and move on.ROBLOX, I don't think you care, but if you have even the slightest encouragement to fix your community, please do so. This game was good once, and now, as I said before, is a money-pot with a falling community.
