Author Topic: Profile Pic Not Uploading  (Read 1262 times)

Yes yes, I know that the picture/gif has to be 75x75, BUT after a year of trying to get it to work, still nothing.
This may just be a problem with file size, but I'm still not entirely sure about that, because even still pictures at 75x still don't upload.

like I've said in two other threads now, try using photoshops "save for web" thing, or if you don't have that, install GIMP, which is free, and I'm sure it has some similar feature

First of all, make sure its  74x74 pixelated.
Second, make sure its a JPEG file. Or JPG.
Third, its not 75x75 Pixel i think.

It is 75x75, I was trying blockland forums with different web browsers. Internet Explorer uploads the image quick, Chrome take minutes to upload. Paint.net and gimp works most of the time as i know of and trust me it can be a .png file.

don't
Third, its not 75x75 Pixel i think.
yes it is

The filesize has to be below 5KBs to my understatement for it to work.

This seems a little ridiculously tiny, but I'll try it

everything in this post is false
literally every single thing
just ignore it completely.

Just open up the gif in GIMP and export it as an animated gif. After that it should work.

what exactly did you try? photoshop or GIMP? saving for web using photoshop has always worked for me, but GIMP doesn't seem to have anything like that
maybe try this plugin with GIMP?

This could work using GIMP's compression tool.
