Personally, I like Minecraft because it was part of my childhood. I get that people think it's overrated and think it's boring, and that's okay. When I first heard about that game I wasn't really interested. It was until I saw this channel https://www.youtube.com/user/LuclinFTW (used to be LuclinMCWB) that I became very interested because as a small child my absolute favorite toy franchise was, of course, Lego, and the idea of playing with friends and family excited me. I've seen other channels like Yogscast and Captain Sparkelz who love the game as much as I do. So there you have it. Minecraft will always be apart of my childhood and I still love it even to this day...

Had I joined Minecraft when it first came out, I probably would have played it every day for years. It's just that I joined too late and my older self is not motivated enough to get involved in it. I joined blockland and was die-hard addicted to it, so I still have a partial respect for it even in times of trouble.

Not even 2009 technically speaking. It was still in development at the time, but you could still buy the game regardless. The completed game was released in 2011.
