Author Topic: Does the nintendo 3DS have reigon coding?  (Read 470 times)

so Its my birthday  this month and I previously made a topic about a graphics card but I can't buy one at the moment, its not because its expensive or anything like that its just I have a bit of a back story of why I'm in America. 2 years ago I moved to America and this is my final year here and I am leaving in 4 months, so its best if I buy a PSU and graphics card in the uk. So now you're thinking "shut up and get to the point" so lets get down to business. Does the 3ds have region coding? and what is the best 3ds model to get because there are too many. I sold my DSI about 4 years ago but I am desperate to play Pokemon again and super smash bros since I don't want a wii u, but does the 3ds have reigon coding? because we know its Bullstuff and it treats the customer like a loving animal. So please help me because I really like pokemon and if I do get a 3ds I would re-play pokemon platinum again then play pokemon black and white (Which version 1 or 2?) because I never got to play it.

Help would be extremely good and thanks for reading

Yeah the system has a region lock on it, so of course you can only play games the same region as your 3DS. It's really dumb, but oh well. What's funny about it is that the Gameboy and original DS systems had no region locking, I'm not sure what made them change all of that when the 3DS line came up.

Oh I forgot to tell you the best model to get. I would say the New Nintendo 3DS, regular sized version or if you want,  the xl version. You won't find the normal size here in america as of now, but you will over on the pal regions.
