i've been using plantronics gamecom headsets for years and they've all been wonderful. great mic & sound quality and they've all lasted me several years. which is good because i don't have any space on my desk for a separate headset and mic setup and therefore need a headset.

yeah i have that exact same problem.

i put electric tape around it

let me tell you, I had put so much electrical tape and duct tape on mine and they still had gaps inbetween my face and the foam padding

i have a G930 only thing that could go bad is the charging port on the side is easily prone to wear and tear by being loose and wobbly

I used to have one and absolutely loved it. Mine broke after the mic boom snapped in half, but that was because I had been constantly dropping it onto my hardwood floor. I'd buy another one.
