Prices at my school were pretty ridiculous, and I know that was a big problem for a lot of people. I was perfectly willing to pay out the ass for my four breakfast bagels every morning, my five dollar footlongs, my piles of cookies... but that was just because I'm stupid.
$1.50 for a half litre of diet coke was kind of ridiculous. Diet only because of some silly thing that I believe is state-wide forcing the school to carry only diet garbage; at some point I stopped caring entirely and just started buying my drinks in the teacher's lounge where they had proper-ass sodas
