GMOD keeps crashing on the loading screen for singleplayer

Listen, I know that this isn't the apropriate forum for this, but this is the only forum I know that I have a membership on. And facepunches forum is pretty confusing.
So when I go into the singleplayer loading screen, it does its normal thing. But when it gets to the end... nope crash. What will fix this?

Can we have a history of it? Like, has it worked before, did you just get it, etc. Also your specs would be nice.

Try verifying the game cache. If that doesn't work, try disabling/removing some addons.

It worked just fine before the latest update. First it screwed up then I couldn't open my escape screen without the entire game crashing. I fixed the escape screen issue, but the loading screen is still unresolved.
