Author Topic: Is it possible to play Blockland on a dual/tri monitor display?  (Read 1066 times)

I am referring to something like this:

Would it be possible to play Blockland with peripheral vision like this?
I've seen something before where someone used console commands to make the fov extremely large and just made the image go across 3 screens, but I'm not sure if it's exactly the same.

Would it be possible to make a mod that does this?

Other than GUI stuff, that's all this is.

with eyefinity enabled, it combines all the screens into one big monitor with a (obviously) higher resolution. blockland would just think it's a giant monitor and would display on all of them.

Anyone who has a tri moniter setup mind showing us how it looks?

I've got dual screens on my home desktop (not the one in my apartment). Haven't ever bothered trying to put blockland on dual screens. It probably wont work as the game doesn't have a resolution for a [very] widescreen.
Someone could probably make a mod to be able to have a custom format though, but it'd distort the field of view.
I usually use the two screens to have a photo of what I'm building on one of them.
I have no sources from my guesses, so they could be wrong.

To fix the fov, I think there are commands to change it to very large sizes.

my desk is too short for 3
and I have 2 monitors that aren't the same size

There's setres(x,y); and setfov(x);, but I have no idea if blockland allows you to stretch past 1 monitor. Try enabling eyefinity/nvidia surround and trying then.

me too :(
I'm planing on buying a secondone tough

I've played it on two. Don't like doing it because I have only two monitors and their different sizes/resolutions, but I can confirm it is possible.

I'm fairly sure it is, I remember seeing someone doing it on three monitors
