Author Topic: If you inherited millions, what would you do with it?  (Read 3060 times)

i dunno, millions like that would be a lot. probably retire depending on how many million and my age

use crazy schemes to gain even more millions, then probably try to progress society with the money

Go to college and buy a lot of cars

College fund af, then fam, Then charity

I'd put it in an investment fund, then use the dividends and returns on investment to pay for my life. A good mutual fund can make 8% a year, so assuming millions means ~5 million, that's $400k a year return on investment. Federal capital gains tax is ~15%, plus ~10% CA income tax. So -25% = 300k a year. Plus a job at $200k a year (minus CA tax @ 11.3% & federal @ 35% = ~107k), that's a solid $400k a year riding solo. No complaints there.

If I get at least 2 million, and my interest is at least 1% , then every year i'll still be getting 2000000*0.1,  or £200000, that seems like enough for me

Make the world's fastest PC and use it.

I'd first spend it on food for the poor, then set about a million aside for college, then make it rain money where there are a lot of homeless people. If I catch any starfish stealing it from the poor, who obviously has enough to live a comfortable life, I'd hire a hit man to hit him (badum tiss)

I would force my parents in to early retirement. They worked so hard to make sure I survived, it's the least I could do.
