Author Topic: Arthur Ashe Courage Award will be presented to Bruce Jenner at the 2015 ESPYS  (Read 1875 times)

so instead of people who are actually loving courageous, like people who fought cancer for years, or a soldier who died on the field, or a heavily disabled person who still managed to accomplish his dreams

the number one spot goes to a guy who literally lopped his richard off.

Caitlyn Jenner.

this

but I mean I fully support the LGBTQ community but this is totally unnecessary.

what's also unnecessary is all the common sense going on lmao chill tf out it doesn't affect you one bit why the forget do you care

i just hate how we pour so much media attention towards something as dumb as a person getting a love change
can't we focus on things that are actually important?
i still am unclear why we need to celebrate bruce's lovechange over the other hundred thousand people who have had lovechanges previously. i dunno what makes his so different.

This.

I can fail to communicate via images, too.

I'm sensing passive aggression.

I mean there is something to it
Sure a lot of other people have had love changes, but she had a lot of previous publicity, and still has a lot as well. It's a difficult enough thing without the massive multifaceted public eye staring at you.

I'm sensing passive aggression.

no I just legit don't know what the point of that was.  :cookieMonster:

yeah it really takes absolutely no courage for a celebrity to come out as transgendered in our society that's still pretty sensible

i mean good for him but it wasn't like the most outstanding feat of courage of the century

I mean it does take courage to do that but there were much better candidates

such as two people who fought long and hard to beat a disease that has taken the lives of millions. but nope, guy who got a love change is defo deserving of the award

for living with your secret for years and then finally doing it, sure it's brave and all, but for an award like this? with candidates who deserve it way more? total bs

I'd be happier if he won Transloveual Person of the Year.
