I work with MS3d.

Is there a certain way like naming groups or textures so that I don't set a texture .png file to a group on the model, but instead when I use the paintcan or paint the vehicle in game that specific group will be colored the paint?

1. Group that is colored by the paintcan

2. Group that is colored by the paintcan but is darker than the solid color by .5 .5 .5

3. Group that has a set color that can't change regardless of paint color

Textures with transparency (blank, black25, black50, black75, whiteCheck, etc.) are affected by the colour of paintcan. Blank translates to the paint colour, whereas blackx makes the colour darker, and whiteCheck makes it much lighter.

Texture that are fully opaque are unaffected, provided they are in a separate object from the former group.
