Now that I think about it, it's in pretty poor shape now. It needs new tires, wheels need to be aligned, it's beginning to rust pretty badly and the brakes barely even work.
If that's the case, you'll want to fix those if your state does vehicle inspections. Not sure how they work elsewhere (or if at all, in some states), but I got my car inspected and it failed because one brake pad had 1/32" of pad left. I got the brakes replaced and got to take it back for free to get them to finalize safety.
