Author Topic: New Copyright Laws In the Works  (Read 810 times)

So something going around the internet recently has been the new copyright laws in the works, tumblr seems to be blowing up over this video trying to explain what it is.

I sure hope that this isn't what everyone thinks it's going to do, but what is your view on the new laws coming out? Do you really think it will impact small artists like everoyne thinks it will?

If tumblr's mad about it, it's fake

There was another thread about this not to long ago right here.
Pretty much what I got from the thread is that its just a 'tumblr scare' and there's nothing you should worry about really. Now of course I'm not a copyright political government peck, so don't quote me on that.

Even if it is real who cares. It's the new age stuff. Old geezers can't make the rules anymore without consulting the internet first.

LOL it says "void our constitutional rights" as part of the post. As if tumblrinas cared about rights. Some go so far as to want anything they disagree with labeled "hate speech" and anyone who disagrees with them is a bigot. forget me the irony is too much to handle.

hey pal don't go super anti-sjw in front of all of us, das nasty.

I just found some humor in the fact that tumblr cares about rights now instead of wanting them taken away or limited heavily once they believe their rights are at risk. That is to say, they're fine to have other people's rights taken away, as long as it's a right they never use (2nd amendment) or believe facilitates hate (1st amendment)

The reason I hate SJWs is because I believe that they've inherently got a sort of "bully culture." What I mean is, that if you disagree with them, you get bullied and called names, labeled a "tribal/bigot/xenophobe/transpineappleophobe" when that's not necessarily what you inherently are. They resort to name calling/shouting buzz words when you disagree with them or question their beliefs.
