IPhone 5C stuck in headphone mode

So basically i cant hear anything out of the speakers, because when i go to turn the ringer volume up, it says Headphones, but i dont have my headphones plugged in

I tried reset, restart, and a q-tip but nothing has worked so far, can anyone help, thanks

According to this link, you have to do it 7-8 times, also while the phone is unlocked.

i did it 10 times while unlocked



What is causing it is because i was at the pool one day, and some lifeguard comes over to me with some weighted pad and says "i need you to put this on the bottom of the pool, k?" (now, i just got here and she handed me the pad when i was paying to get in, if i had already set my stuff down, THEN she came over, i would be fine) So i was all like "k" and i go and hide behind the slide (not supposed to let guards see me do it, which made me rush) and i just jumped in, phone and money, and both got forgeted up, but the phone is working, i just let it sit in rice and the sun, then charged it, but now the pins are probably corroded and its stuck in headphone mode, so because of a life guard test, and the front desk lady rushing me, i rushed to do it, and busted it
