If you don't know how to muck around in HandBrake then try http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/ for video compression, it's the easiest tool I've seen for video editing/converting/compression and it's free

The best option is probably to download a file hosting application for your computer to share a file so large. I recommend either FileZilla or HFS.

The only problem with these methods is that you'd have to forward your ports... To use FileZilla you'd have to forward port 21 and to use HFS you'd have to forward port 80

Just compress the damn thing lol. Nobody sends around uncompressed video
A friend used to just import to Windows movie maker and reexport, and there was a huge drop in file size with no loss of quality, but there's probably better options
Then you can upload to YouTube. Make it unlisted if you only want him to see
