school fire alarms around here don't but you see people in ur class walking away so
mine did
and that's probably illegal, but I guess it could be different from state to state
My schools have never had lights for fire alarms either, but as Moriarty said, you'd likely just see a crowd of people leaving and follow suit.
However, at my university halls of residence, there are no lights for fire, although there is a siren in each room.
If you were blind you wouldn't know if you were in your room on your own.
But that said, I think any blind students would have disabled rooms, which probably have lights in them for such an emergency.
