If you want bang for your buck, get pretty much anything but apple. Everything apple is overpriced and as a student I assume you don't have too much money.

lol yeah ok, I own a Lenovo Y50 and would suggest it to anyone looking for a powerful and reliable gaming laptop.

Just want to leave a note here from experience. If you want a laptop that does normal tasks like booting up and loading programs very quickly, buy one with an SSD and 8GB of ram, the processor and graphics chip aren't really important in this case.

If you want one that's fast for gaming, 8GB of ram and a v good graphics chip, the hard disk and processor aren't really important in this case.
