The Count of Monte Cristo is by far the best novel I have ever read, and I've read a lot of them.
I had to take breaks partway through Don Quixote and The Arabian Nights, too long and repetitive.
The Idiot and Crime and Punishment were both really good even if they dragged along in some parts.
Andrew Carnegie's autobiography is pretty good so far.
For lighter reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series is really good, although the books drop in quality as it goes on.
