actually, you've done exactly what you should have. you kept the original OP
and title, just adding a link to the solution in the OP and an indication that it was solved in the title
if you did edit everything out, people might get confused if they were looking for a solution later and came across this thread. either way, my post would still be there, but it's just not ideal
and keeping the title the same makes it easy to
find in a search
not locking it lets people actually post in it later, if they weren't able to fix it with my solution, and assuming it was less than two months after the last post. that way, another thread isn't made, and we already know what they've tried
honestly, judging by the fact that you did the right things in the first place, I probably don't need to tell you this. but it's always good for everyone else to know, and if needed I could link to it another time and avoid writing it up again
The system is loving me still; the photo uploads with white edges, so I save the photo and remove them, and I upload it again just to look exactly the same.
upload the image to imgur and link it here. that doesn't sound like something the forum's
ever done, so I'm guessing it's unrelated
