I remember buying used Nintendo 64 games from pawn/thrift/retro game stores and ripping off a fingernail or 2 trying to get the Blockbuster label off.

the only thing that we really lost with blockbuster was renting games
TV and movies you can get from redbox or netflix or wherever really
but there's nowhere to go to just pick up a game, play it for a week, and then get another one
