For smaller businesses, it ramps up their payroll expenses. When cities/states have raised the minimum wage in the past, it precipitates an increase in unemployment. From my perspective, jobs that pay badly are better than no jobs at all.

Literally every time I've ever brought up this point anywhere I'm told I don't know how money works. I'm just confused now. :(


I think that a huge step towards fixing the problem would be pressuring huge corporations like McDonalds to pay their employees a living wage (since they can actually afford it without any issue).

he's a world famous brain surgeon, but i think he should have just stayed a brain surgeon and kept out of politics cause he says some weird stuff
