Author Topic: How do I view the DTS of a model + free modeling software that is easy to learn  (Read 389 times)

I want to practice weapon making, but I have a few flaws.I need a modeling software that is easy and free plus it can view a dts. I am not sure where to put this,so I put this here.

Bump Annoying Orange rump

If you can find the old version of Shaper, that's probably the only thing you can use to open DTS files

Milkshape 3D isn't free, but it has a DTS exporter, which is probably the most useful and Torque friendly

Otherwise, there's just Blender and Port's DTS importer/exporter

I wouldn't actually recommend exporting through that though because you can't export anything but the mesh

There's always the old DTS plugin, where ever that is, and that really old version of Blender that can be scary to new users because of it's more complex UI

wings3d maybe

that's what Khain used to make his weapon models for BL

It's unfortunate that Port gave up on his DTS exporter because blender would have been perfect for you. Plenty of online guides and documentation means it's pretty easy to get a handle on.
