Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding a payment you cannot make via your bank account.
I understand that it is very frustrating that you are prompted to add a credit card, I apologize for this.
We are experiencing trouble paying via a bank account. When you make a payment, the link to your account is not seen and you will be prompted to add a credit card or you get another error message. This has nothing to do with you or with your account and this error is entirely to blame on our systems.
We expect to have solved this problem soon. Until this time it is possible to make a payment from your PayPal balance.
With PayPal Top-up, you can add funds to your PayPal balance in just five minutes. This is only available as an option if you have a confirmed email address on your PayPal account. To add money to your account, do the following:
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click "Add money with iDEAL"
Click "Log in and increase your balance using iDEAL."
Log in to your PayPal account and follow the steps.
You can add a minimum of €10 EUR and a maximum of €1000 EUR per transaction to your balance. There are no additional fees for adding money using PayPal Top-up.
You should keep in mind, however, that adding funds to your PayPal balance using PayPal Top-up is classified as a payment received, and so funds received this way are counted towards the European receiving limit.
