What I mean is text like this, the outlined text

not sure if its the same as photoshop but there should be a 'stroke' option for the font, which should be set to white and changed accordingly

i dont think paint.net actually does text stroke without using extensions

Make two text copies of the sentence that you want to use (black)

and one slightly bigger but white

Take each individual letter and overlap the black over white, presto. profit. whatever
