Ball Physics

As I was messing around in BL today, I noticed that vehicles are unable to move the "ball" vehicle.  Is that supposed to happen? And is there a way to easily change that?

Vehicle physics are a pile of crap in general. Whatever you wanted to do probably doesn't work.
