Depends on the cat. Get yourself a stout leopard descended cat and it's probably loyal and respectful. Rescue kittens are generally pretty nice. If you buy an overpriced cat from a line of purebred privileged cats, you'll get exactly that.
Get yourself one of those flat faced morons and you deserve whatever evil you bring into your house. Seriously. Just like with humans, some races of cat are far superior to others.
