That wasn't what I was asking. I asked if my argument is being undermined.
I mean the three big common appeals in an argument are ethos, pathos, and logos; if your ethos, or in this case, base credibility, is shaky with certain people from past events your argument will be less valid in their eyes. However, such credibility can be regained, further lost, or further strengthened through what you say in your argument, and in reality you should have probably said more in your defense to really create a convincing argument. Of course, there are certain users where the quotes/pictures do the talking and that's all they need, but in this case you'll need more than that.
