Author Topic: The ‘Body Positive’ Movement is Actually sensible  (Read 2297 times)

Transgender people throw so many stupid fits for attention.
But the ones complaining about this aren't actually transgendered and if they claim that they are, they aren't. The point of being transgendered is to just be the other gender and accept yourself as such. Real transgendered are often happy about themselves and can love their bodies even if they're misaligned, and typically those who are transgendered wouldn't be so quick to draw attention to it anyways. The ones who get offended at this stupid stuff need to forget off and stop giving a bad name to people who really dont give a forget damn stuff about what's sensible or not. The issue is that all the chill transgendered people are quiet about it because they just go about their business as the gender they're trying to be, probably because all the stupid tumblr forgets make trans people look like the most insufferable group of whiny undeserving people around. All the fake ass attention whores blow it way out of proportion, so with that it looks like the entire transgendered community consists of stupid pricks that would take something wholeheartedly good and twist it so it draws attention to them and makes them look like some kind of hero. That isn't the case, every group of people has a good end and a bad end, but in this case it seems that the bad not only outweighs the good but completely overrides it to hell

Being an attention whore is a completely different thing from being trans. That being said, quite a few trans people do get like that, but many still don't make a big fuss over it. Tbh, I've never actually met a trans person who was like this, I've only heard about it. I think it's more of a confirmation bias than anything, since the ones who aren't noticed in a negative way typically aren't noticed as much at all. They become most of what people pay attention to, and thus a stereotype is born.

Someone scientifically explained that social justice will eventually die out.

Sure, because eventually we'll get to a point where everyone will stop being stupid about the gender someone wants to be, or be with.

Hopefully, anyway.

Feminism will die out too.

A some point in the future we will socially evolve to the point that we won't care for trivial things.

Honestly my biggest problem with all this sort of stuff is it's become so cluttered and messy and subjective that I don't want to even bother trying to learn anything about it, just for that reason alone. :/

i admire your faith in the human race.

but this will not happen in our lifetime. face it.
it might not even happen in the next generation or even the generation after that.

or even ever.

if by 3000 years from now then sure.

but right now our lives are being made so easy that we're gonna end up caring more and more for trivial things.

notice how you read everything about this sort of stuff and all you see is forget?

that's because it IS all forget.

One issue is religion saying you can't do X or Y because Z said so

Transgender people throw so many stupid fits for attention.
However, this article is taking a pretty god damn wide stretch with the whole 'sensible' thing. I have never been offended by it and don't know any trans person who has been. The 'body positive' movement is ultimately about weight issues.

I mean, seriously, you can't just throw us all in with the stufflord that wrote that terrible article.

I used "transgender people" meaning "the small demographic of transgender individuals who habitually do x."

No hate to you guys except for Donnie.

Alright, sorry for the overreaction.

It's just that the 'individuals who habitually do x' are so loud that we often all get lumped in with them and it really sucks.

I understand, that small demographic makes me mad as forget though, they make all transgendered people look like asses. As I've said according to their logic transgendered people should just feel bad about themselves and stuff.
