Author Topic: Hypothetical question, what if our resources run out?  (Read 3546 times)

what if i steel all the metals though
I'll call the coppers on you

Fossil fuels are likely to run out soon in our lifetime. They're used to create plastics and power (vehicles, electricity) from what I can remember off the top of my head

God knows what will happen when it does, but before it does fuel prices will increase so drastically that nobody will be able to afford it. We'll have to use another form of power generation, but the transition will not be so easy.

i'll edit this out because it's become a bit of a chain

OT: i hope we will have done some considerable research into space travel before then; the idea of colonizing other planets is super cool, and i hope it's something we'll at least broach in my lifetime.

oh the irony
Lego had better cobalt on outta there before they catch him.

lego lad why have you lead us here

I dunno, but I zinc this is getting out if hand.

We'd either invade smaller countries that still have reserves (a la Fallout Resource Wars) or we'd work together for space travel so we can mine resources from other planets while using more renewable resources
