Also, lettme tell you this. Windows Firewall being turned off will NOT let viruses in. 99.9% of viruses, and that's a conservative estimate, are given mostly through people downloading bad files. Basically, odds are you're gonna be the one to infect your computer, and Windows Firewall wouldn't protect you from a downloaded file. All a Firewall usually is helpful towards is attacks that are aimed at you, or if you need to block specific IPs. I've only had one attack directed towards my IP in my 8 years with this ISPP, and I knew it was coming (since the moron was bragging about it, etc). My router successfully ignored the packets- their ports weren't forwarded anyway. The bloke who attacked me was a script kiddie, I'm glad to say that after a call to his ISP, I never saw him again.
But, that's besides the point. Turning Windows Firewall off only TECHNICALLY increases your risk of getting a virus, by only 0.1% at best. So, you should be safe. If you still don't believe me, then turn it back on when you're finished with Blockland.
