Addons will not work

Before I begin, this is my first forum post, so beware.

When I download add ons, they do not show up when I select "Custom" Gamemode. I download the add ons, go to ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Steam/Common/Blockland/Addons and put the add-on directly into it. The launcher and game itself work fine. Am I doing something wrong?
       When I download an add-on, it comes as a folder. Should I take something out and put that into my add ons folder instead? Please help!

No, it doesn't. Add-ons are .zip files and you aren't supposed to do anything/open them, just throw the zip file in your add-ons folder.
