the chances of it passing are low, the dude is just trying to pander for votes and attention lol. And it's such a small change to the actual lyrics, either nobody will care or nobody will mind. It's not a huge deal either way.

the thy sons part was from world war 1 due to the amount of men serving in the military at the time and for Canadians like me ww1 is basically what gave us our identity and allowed us to become independent. Im not super patriotic, yet I do love it here but I can't stand this butchering of our anthem. Trudeau is a piece of stuff imo.
