Author Topic: Why am I being forced to set Windows 7 compatibility on every application  (Read 937 times)

guess it doesn't hurt to try an sfc /scannow

I understand the problem perfectly. OP is using an old form of windows and trying to use programs made for windows 10 and getting upset that his computer breaks with windows 10
nope, cus that doesn't make any sense. if it didn't work normally, because it was "made for windows 10", it certainly wouldn't work running in compatibility mode for windows 7. compatibility mode isn't for running newer programs, it's for running older programs. it will not help you to run programs made for newer versions of windows. so that is obviously not the problem

couldn't, might as well give it a shot

And? Programs get updated when a new OS gets released. Maybe you've both been in blockland too long and forgot updates exist
I hope you get yourself banned with how much of an absolute tool you're being
