here's a shortcut for images when you type a reply
also, for changing width and height just add [img width=x] [img height=x]
width usually scales with height so you don't need to worry about setting it manually

some sites however don't like hotlinking so I'd recommend uploading to sites like imgur where they host it for you

first of all the [img]and [/ img] tags need to surround the file
basically [img]____[/   img]

also the image has to be hosted on a file hosting site like imgur
